Comparison between the play station portable and the iPod video
Posted on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 by AdSenseHolic
The new iPod video was one of the most surprising of 2006, due to the fact that iPods did not include the video feature, since the launch of the 5th generation of iPods in 2005.
However, the natural comparison the customers (and not only) be made between the play station portable, also known as the PSP and the new model of iPod series. PSP is basically a portable game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Company in 2004. Public reactions to this new device, which was quite different from almost everything in the market was very good, due to the fact that the small device allowed customers to play famous games, and at the same time to see the clips.
The comparison of these two devices batteries, or better said, the battery life is a fact that the PSP device lasted much longer than the iPod. While playing a movie, the iPod battery dies after about two hours, while the PSP battery lasts up to 7 hours, which is a great advantage.
By comparing the audio quality, I must say that both devices provide a good quality audio, yet the video iPod was to provide a sound a bit clearer than the play station portable. This is due to the act that the audio on the iPod video file is encoded in AAC audio. Moreover, the PSP seems to be lower in some cases, but in general, the difference was not as relevant and significant. The video quality of the 2 devices is another topic worth discussing and debating. It is known that the PSP has a much larger screen. Still, in this case, the advantage of large size is not equal to a better picture: the iPod still manages to show a very sharp picture and crisp clear text (even long). On the other hand, when talking about the difference in video conversation, the truth is that a video iPod has about 12 hours to encode a video, while the play station portable only has a little less than 3 hours to make same.
By comparing the two devices, it is obvious that both have advantages and shortcomings of some. Although the video quality looks better on the iPod video device, the PSP has a greater battery life and faster way to encode video. However, the iPod is a smaller device, so it is natural that some features are not as optimized as in the case of the PSP. Furthermore, due to the fact that it is smaller, the iPod is much easier to carry and use repeatedly. Studies even show that both items are sold mostly in vacation periods, meaning that customers use as an element of entertainment, both in summer and winter.
Both devices, though they are similar in many aspects of its practical application, present both pros and cons or advantages and disadvantages. Depending on customer needs and desires, you can choose the one that best suits your needs, available time or quality expectations.
